EXCLUSIVE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JAMES MANGOLD! EXCLUSIVE!!!

Ok, so that title is a bit misleading, but I did take part in the live webchat with James Mangold that took place on empireonline.com today (big thanks for that guys). Mangold is of course the director of one of my favourite films of all time, Walk the Line, as well as numerous others including Girl, Interrupted and 3:10 to Yuma. Luckily he answered two of my questions, both of which are posted below.

Question no. 1 was whether or not he would be interested in making a sequel to Walk the Line, following on from Cash's marriage to June Carter and dealing with his continued struggles with drugs and musical relevance.

Question 2 asked him how he felt about Rockstar Games saying that one of the main influences for Red Dead Redemption was his remake of 3:10...

Pretty cool huh? Sadly I wasn't able to stay for the whole webchat, but it was a great way for fans to ask questions of a respected film maker, and the atmosphere in the chat room pre-Mangold's arrival was pretty cool too, with some funny banter ongoing between the fans and the staff at Empire (I heart Helen O'Hara).
